AV distributor Maverick is adding a few new large format display manufacturers to its distribution line-up, with Viewsonic, Sharp, Acer, LG Compro and Iyama all set to be distributed by the company. Those new brands join Sony and LG, which have been distributed my Maverick for a number of years.

As part of the new deal, Maverick is investing £1.5m in stock. In addition, it has appointed a brand new dedicated large format display team and a selection of pan-European services to help UK integrators working on international roll outs.

The team, which includes Grant Keenan as business manager, Blaine Johnstone as product manager, Mohammad Oftadeh as business development manager and Matt Keen as general manager leading a field sales drive, is Maverick’s first dedicated team focused on large format display, to aid clients with specifying, accessories and technical support.

Sharp’s partnership with Maverick is designed to extend its reach into the reseller network and increase the channel’s knowledge of its professional display range. The business launched six new products at ISE including a 70in display for video walls – the world’s largest commercial video wall display. It also announced a new 80in BIG PAD with optical bonding and a new set of 40in interactive displays for huddle spaces, as well as its new PNQ range.

Viewsonic’s portfolio includes both large format and interactive screens from 32in to 84in. With a reinforced UK team, the partnership with Maverick will see them bring new focus on supporting partners in the channel.

Iyama’s large format display range has been added to the Maverick portfolio after the business’s success with its monitor range. Its ProLite range includes models from 32in to 86in with picture in picture capability inbuilt and the ability to switch simply from portrait to landscape orientation, perfect for digital signage applications.

Sony’s BRAVIA Professional display range has also been added to Maverick’s portfolio. The BRAVIA series comes equipped with the 100in FWD-100ZD9501 which delivers 4K UHD picture quality for digital signage. Also included is Sony’s SRG-120DU remotely operated PTZ camera, designed for real-time multimedia sharing and collaboration.

LG has expanded its relationship with Maverick in the UK to include its Commercial Lite TV and OLED Commercial Display ranges, in addition to its Hotel TV range, designed for the leisure and hospitality industries which is already part of the Maverick portfolio. The displays, which are designed for both in-room and digital signage applications, feature personalisation and bespoke customisation via its Pro:Centric Application and easy connectivity via its built-in Supersign system.

After a long term relationship with Acer for a number of products, Maverick will be partnering with the brand to launch into the large format display market in Spring.
